Information We Collect

Meal Photos

When you take or select photos of your meals, these images are processed by our AI service to analyze nutritional content. Images are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored on our servers.

Health Data

With your explicit permission, we read and write dietary nutrition data to Apple Health. This includes:

• Calories consumed
• Macronutrients (protein, carbohydrates, fat)
• Vitamins and minerals
• Other dietary data supported by Apple Health

This data remains on your device and in your personal Apple Health account. We do not have access to your Apple Health data beyond what you explicitly choose to log through our app.

Account Information

When you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique identifier and, optionally, your email address (which you can choose to hide). This information is used solely for account authentication.

How We Use Your Information

• To analyze meal photos and provide nutritional information
• To sync nutrition data with Apple Health at your request
• To maintain your account and provide customer support
• To improve our AI models and service quality

Data Storage and Security

Your meal history and nutrition data are stored locally on your device using secure iOS storage. We use industry-standard encryption for all data transmission between your device and our services.

Meal photos sent for AI analysis are processed in real-time and are not retained after analysis is complete.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• OpenAI - For AI-powered meal analysis
• Supabase - For secure authentication and optional data backup
• Apple Health - For nutrition data synchronization (with your permission)

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data stored by our service
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Revoke Apple Health permissions at any time through iOS Settings
• Export your meal history from the app

Children's Privacy

Calorily is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.
